Initial Consultation

Your initial evaluation at The Vein & Aesthetic Center of Boston involves a complete assessment of your symptoms. You can view educational videos and receive literature concerning your condition. We take photographs and measurements of your legs. After a complete history is obtained, the physician performs a thorough examination, including Doppler assessment of the superficial and deep venous systems. This evaluation determines the nature of your condition and what, if any, further evaluation is required.

Follow-up Evaluation

If the initial evaluation indicates anything more than spider veins, further assessment is needed. This involves non-invasive testing, including duplex ultrasound of the superficial and deep venous systems, and possibly a "PPG" test to record the time it takes for blood to fill leg veins, giving a functional assessment of the leg muscle pump. These tests complete the evaluation and allow us to recommend a treatment plan best suited to your needs.

Payment and Insurance Insurance Call
We accept most insurance plans, and our office will work with you and your insurance company to aid in the coverage of medically indicated treatments.

Cosmetic treatments are not covered by insurance companies. For these, we accept cash, checks, and credit cards.
